Ira and David arrived without any expectations

The moment when everything was impossible

The story of Ira and David is a beautiful testimony of perseverance with a happy ending, whose protagonists show us that when you want something, it doesn’t matter how many doors close, because there will always be a window that opens. This couple still remembers the difficult moments they went through when, in the two hospitals they visited initially, they were told that they couldn’t become parents: “They told me it was impossible,” says Ira.

Arriving at Clinica Tambre

When they were about to give up, they decided to ask for a second opinion at Clinica Tambre. Dr. Valentina de Miguel gave them hope and the possibility of having the baby they wanted so much. After carrying out a series of tests, the medical team gave this couple the first encouraging response in their entire experience with assisted reproduction. Israel explains that in the places they had previously consulted they had not even suggested testicular biopsy with IVF, which was what Dr. Tambre recommended.

As usually happens at the beginning of a treatment like this, Ira and Israel had many doubts. However, the professionalism and optimism that the doctor transmitted to them, pushed them to choose us to accompany them in the most beautiful project of their lives. When asked about their relationship with Dr. Valentina de Miguel and the medical team at Tambre, Ignacia says: “They are like family to me”. She knows that the clinic has exceeded her expectations, not only for having achieved the pregnancy she was looking for, but also for the motivation and human warmth she has received.

The happiness of a new stage: pregnancy

With much emotion, Ira explains how moving it is to go from believing that you will not be able to have a family to feeling the kicks of your baby in your belly. This couple believes that assisted reproduction is still a taboo subject and that people have a hard time talking about it. “Get rid of fears and complexes,” is the motto that Ira and David want to convey to those who want to be parents and do not rush to explore their options. In these situations, the best thing is to open up, ask for help and let go. “It is not a problem to tell what we have been through, because I can really help people,” says Ira.

Where there is room for two, there is room for four: the story of Erica  and Bella

Erica and Bella, from Cadiz and Madrid respectively, have been a couple in love for 11 years. From the day they got married, they knew they wanted to start a family and so they began to immerse themselves in the world of assisted reproduction. They, who met while traveling, knew they would continue to do so and this time the goal was motherhood.

Their arrival at the Tambre Clinic and the choice of treatment

In their case, they learned about the Tambre Clinic through a friend who knew Patricia, an embryologist at the center. From the moment they entered the Tambre Clinic, they realized that the treatment could not be more personalized. The medical team explained in detail all the steps to follow and, after studying the situation, they began the treatment. Their dream of becoming mothers was getting closer and closer.

In their particular case, they knew that the pregnant woman would be Belinda because she was younger. The couple remembers perfectly the day that Dr. Esteban called to say that after the first attempt, she was pregnant. They say that they were in the car and screamed with joy and cried at the same time.

The arrival of their princesses

Nine months later, Jimena was born, described by her mothers as a baby full of love and affection. The couple cannot find the words to describe their experience at Clinica Tambre. They really appreciate the treatment they received from the entire team, starting with Patty, the bond between them and the clinic, to which they thank for the work and kindness. They also highlight the close and special relationship they created with Dr. Esteban, who they nicknamed their “angel”.

Two and a half years after the birth of their daughter, Erica and Bella decided it was a good time to expand their family. “Without thinking twice, we returned to Clinica Tambre,” they say. This second adventure with us began with a new treatment and culminated with the arrival of Vella, a beautiful, smiling little girl.

As a clinic, it makes us very happy to hear from our patients and that Bella and Erica are so excited with their 2 and 5 year old girls. It is nice to know that we have helped make their dream come true.

Bella and Erica did not want to end this testimony without first transmitting their fighting spirit to all women who undergo fertility treatments. “Do not give up because everything you want is achieved,” they say, remembering what it means to hear your child’s heartbeat for the first time.

Since their experience at our clinic was more than positive, we asked them for a message of encouragement for all those people who are struggling to start a family: “To those who are about to embark on this journey, we can only advise to live it with as much serenity as possible and to rely on serious and qualified professionals as we did by choosing the Tambre Clinic from among many facilities. The most important advice is not to waste time if you want to realize the dream of becoming parents.”

Maria Velasquez (embryologist)

“I help other people realize their dream of becoming parents, as they helped my parents in their time”

Her name is Maria. She is 28 years old, born in Lorca and is an embryologist. Although this information will not be able to attract a journalist to make her the protagonist of one of his interviews, it hides an emotional story. Hers is one of those testimonies that move. But, above all, that make us reflect on the unexpected events of fate, on that inevitable and inescapable power that is believed to guide human life towards a specific direction and that determines that “nothing exists by chance” just as “nothing is created from nothing”.

And it is precisely creation that begins Maria’s story. “At 25, my mother had fertility problems and met two professionals in the field along the way: Paul Cavalli, the founder of the Tambre Clinic, and Cristian Loners, the embryologist who was analyzing the samples at the time. They gave my parents the opportunity to have a child and, without hesitation, they packed their bags and came to Madrid with the desire to have us. And, as you can see, they did it! After many attempts, they gave them the good news: she was pregnant,” Maria Velasquez tells us in this video.

Born and working at the Tambre Clinic

For Maria, it was special to know that she had been born thanks to assisted reproduction. It made her feel “different”. Did she start thinking about dedicating herself to embryology from that moment on? Maria answers this question  and discovers that “coincidence” that makes her story unique.

She defines herself as an “endangered species” for being the fruit of a treatment that resulted in triplets and expresses her interest in scientific progress in this specialty. She recognizes that assisted reproduction techniques and treatments are advancing at an accelerated pace and, nowadays, “the chances of getting pregnant with more than one embryo are practically zero”. Nowadays, Maria has a great passion for embryology: “For me, embryology is generating life, helping and contributing to making the dreams of people who have had fertility problems like my parents come true. Just as they were helped, I feel I have to help those people.
