The Papillomavirus is known to cause nearly 100% of cervical cancer in adult women. These screening reports point to the variant version of the infection. And its known that some of the variants are more aggressive than others. These known aggressive and high risk types are diagnosed with our lab’s PCR processes. HPV is a very common infection. 50% of the population are infected as reported by health authorities.

Why is there no treatment of this HPV disease?

Treatments are available for the symptoms. Not for the virus. And a Vaccine exists for variants that are known to be high risk. WHO and authorities in the UK require and recommend teenagers to be vaccinated.

For Genital warts treatments can succeed. They can disappear from prescription medicine. But when untreated, often they may go away, stay the same, or even mutiply and grow in size or number. Research suggests that being healthy usually means that, for most people, your body successfully fights the virus, and it will go away within 2 years.

Cervical precancer: Treatment is available. Women who get routine Pap smears and follow-ups, as needed, can find problems before cervical diseases develop. However, prevention is always better than treatment. For more information, read below.

What are the 2 Types of Options that we have?

The Base option looks for 18 Strains: 16, 18, 31, 59, 66, 53, 33, 58, 45, 56, 52, 35, 68, 51, 39, 82, 26, and 73. And does not report individually on them.
The Upgrade Option looks for the 21 Strains and Reports on them individually: 16, 18, 31, 59, 66, 53, 33, 58, 45, 56, 52, 35, 68, 51, 39, 82, 26, 73, 6, 11, 81.

Your result can be negative if you have none of the above indystry accepted higher risk types.

There are more than 300 strains. You might have one of those 300 strains but not one of the above 21 types of virus.

Why is our HPV price so cheap?

Most competitors do not check for as many of the high risk variants as we do. For example, Type 53 is one common and high risk variants. And we check for it. But most of the other labs do not. If you are positive for any type of HPV, especially a high risk type, you must do everything you can to help your immune system eradicate it from your body.

In the United Kingdom testing for more variants is expensive. Many competitors do not look for 21 or even 18 like we do.

Most look for 2-12 types only.

The normal market price for 18 or 21 variants is £200-£300 for a 21 Variant test.

FAQ for the Papilloma Virus Questions?

Q: Firstly, how does HPV spread?
- A: The infection is transmitted by skin or fluid contact. Skin or Mucus or other fluids. Direct contact with the secretion or bodily fluids of an infected person.
Q: Also, how many different virus types are identified?
- A: Over 320 strains have been identified but the list is growing. They have been groped by the industry into two broad categories: 1. low-risk and high-risk strains. Using test services for both men and women, you can find out which type you have.
Q: And why are they called high-risk strains?
- A: The reference is for the development of cancer with patients with the disease. Therefore, some strains are considered higher risk than others. Higher risk strains include types 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59 and 68.
Q: Also, why are others called low-risk strains?
- A: Often Low-risk strains are associated with the development of warts. For these warts, the recommended treatment is excision or local therapy for their “destruction”. Your Doctor can decide on treatments.
Q: What are so called Condylomas?

Q: Do positive HPV Variant infections get treated?
- A: There is treatment for this infection. And there is a vaccine that can help prevent some strains. And antiviral treatments and also immunity treatments.
Q: My partner or I have this infection together. Will we keep passing it between each other?
- A: Evidence exists that natural immunity is low level, so reinfection between couples is common.
Q: If I only had sex with one person, would I still get it?
- A: Yes you can. The infection isn’t a sign that someone has slept around with many people. Or has been unfaithful to a partner because you can get it during your first sexual contact – whether that is penetrative sex, oral sex, touching or sharing sex toys. or even virus material on toilet seats and door handles and taps in toilets.
Q: Are all strains high risk and or dangerous?
- A: No, most strain types do not cause cancer. About 13 types so far are identified. Types which can cause cancer include Types 16 and 18 cause 7 in 10 cervical disease in women.
Q: What are the common symptom revealed?
- A: In most there are no symptoms, the infection does not cause symptoms.
Q: What are warts?
- A: Mens Genital warts are growths or bumps on the skin around the genital facial or hands areas. If left untreated, they may disappear, stay the same, or increase intensity.
Q: Can men get tested and treated? Why does the UK government not have a validati0n program for Men but it has for Women?

What is the Accuracy?

Our diagnostic accuracy is defined as the combination of sensitivity and specificity variables. Sensitivity confirms positive results; specificity eliminates negative results. Also, all our results are validated with high accuracy (up to 98.5%).

Variables

Accuracy can be affected by various factors that our lab cannot control. Infection intensity, patient health, and sample quality, dependent on adherence to “home” procedures, can all limit the results. Although our products are extremely sensitive, a poor-quality swab makes it harder to detect the presence of infection, as fewer viral particles will be present. So, please carefully consider the information sheet accompanying your sample collection kit to ensure a high-quality sample is taken.

Actual Detection

The standard PCR detection method is designed to detect the presence of Human papillomavirus in the sample accurately. A positive result will distinguish HPV-16 and 18 from the others listed above. The standard process detects the presence of the listed types but cannot provide specific types. Furthermore, it uses a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) amplifying method to detect the presence of the pathogen.

Any diagnosis should be discussed with your healthcare provider. And any results from our medical diagnostics laboratory are intended to be viewed by healthcare professionals. However, this can be done with a patient’s medical history, lifestyle, and other factors that may influence results, which should be shared with your GP when discussing these results.

Positive results:

A positive result suggests the presence of viral particles in the sample during examination. So, upon receiving positive results, you should contact your healthcare provider for treatment. You can also gain a prescription through our website. Also, it is possible that the virus does not present symptoms of the disease, but you may still be infectious to others. However, due to proven links between HPV and cancers, you must discuss the results with your GP.

Negative results.

While this can provide reassurance, it is important to understand its significance. This means the process did not detect the presence of infection during sampling. Results should still be discussed with a healthcare provider, considering lifestyle and sexual history.

The result includes 21 variants that are considered “High-risk” types due to their association with Cervical version of the disease. Still, it cannot detect if you are positive for one of the other 200+ variants.

Confronting the Diagnosis:

After my mother’s death, I believed for many years that I, too, would die young. As if our physical and character similarity fatally condemned me to the same fate as her. In the early 2000s, in my early fifties, I found myself separated. Alone after many years of living together, with the need to provide for myself and understand what I wanted to be and do.

Perhaps since then, my Viral cancer has developed. There are no Ovarian disease symptoms of its presence or disturbance, so much so that I flourish again. Becoming the “portrait of Level health.” At the same time, I engage in editorial work that validates me as a person and gives new impetus and curiosity to my mind.

Filling the sense of emptiness of the present.

What about that sense of oppression that I felt in that period overloaded with anguish, work and commitment? I visualised a dark spot, a weight on my chest: a signal from my body, although I had had another routine HPV exam (breast, uterus and intestines) due to my sister’s breast cancer and my parents’ premature death from cancer.

Urgent Surgical Intervention:

Bilateral ovarian ETP at stage IV was the CA125 diagnosis following the histological test report. Two enormous cysts went from the ovaries into my belly while the malignant cells infiltrated, enveloping the nearby organs. Once again, my Ovarian reproductive system had betrayed me, even becoming a breeding ground for cancer.

There was no time to reflect or think about a will even though I realised that my situation was close to an intestinal blockage.

Critical that I then had to have emergency surgery.

At the “TGatei” hospital, where I was transferred by ambulance, I was greeted with some grumbling, given the late hour. Still, the Nursing and Medical staff always made me feel like a person and not a number, treating me with softened professionalism. from human interest.

Post-Surgery Reality:

A ‘big surgery,’ Lidia, my doctor for home delivery swab testing, told me. “Family when she came to visit me in intensive care. I already knew about the intestinal diversion, an eventuality that filled me with terror.

This makes me think of the liver drainage and the pouch that my mother had after her liver hilum cancer bypass surgery. I also knew that the stoma would be temporary and not permanent.

The presence horrified me, even without perceiving it.

However, I found the strength to ask Lidia: “If you tell me I can do it, I can do it.”

Having returned to the ward, with the nightmare of hallucinating visions and the presence of this appendage on my still-toned stomach, I could not hold back a sense and a feeling of disgust at the change of the bag which I was not interested in as if it were something else from me.

At the same time, CA125-type doctors and nurses took care of me and my progress, urging me so much that I had a surprising recovery.

I asked for information

But there was no psychological service as is provided for patients with breast cancer who face a situation of mutilation, painful but comparable and which does not seem as dramatic as living with a stoma.

Mental Health Challenges:

The nurses at the Chelsea CA125 Ostomy Center were reassuring and always attentive. They helped with everything from choosing the most suitable bag to the protective cream and waterproofing spray. My sister took care of it until a friend made me understand that I wouldn’t be able to live without the stoma.

Indeed, it indicated the full recovery of the intestine’s functionality. Since then, I have started to provide for it myself, mindful of the privacy of one’s bodily functions.

It was difficult because the stoma is uncontrollable.

Rumbling, popping noises, and continuous stool production that you can’t get used to. I was very good at hiding this Ovarian level cancer handicap. Still, I found myself in a CA125 blood lab emergency and a very uncomfortable situation.

This was despite preparing for every next-day courier eventuality and walking around with everything needed to change the bag. I also faced the weekly chemotherapy with determination. With the sole aim of undergoing the recanalisation surgery as soon as possible.

9 Cycles of Chemotherapy

I found myself waiting for the checks, scared and anxious. I worried about the second surgery: I certainly couldn’t go back to school with my disastrous and uncontrollable appendix that had turned my life upside down.

Therapy and Emotional Recovery:

CT and PET scans were normal, yet I couldn’t rejoice. I felt doubtful and empty as if the news didn’t concern me. My body had held up well, but my psyche was faltering. I asked for help from a psychotherapist who reduced my fractures. He listened and explained to me, underlining everything that is a healthy reaction.

I could no longer tolerate the stoma and was always close to tears. Instead, I have been very lucky compared to the many patients who have to change Ovarian CA125 therapy because the previous one is inadequate or they have worsened so much that they are transfigured and almost unrecognisable.

Nothing is as before, another chance to live more lightly.

Then, the usual letting go, forgetting the worst moments, those of the second surgery or the interminable wait for the negative response.

There are still a few months left until January 2011, when I turn 58. Mum died almost two months earlier, so only in December will I be truly safe.
