Dymista product information

Dymista nasal spray contains 2 active ingredients: azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate.
Azelastine belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Our body produces a substance called histamine when allergy occurs and antihistamines help to stop the effect of histamine. This helps to relieve symptoms of allergies such as hay fever.
Fluticasone belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. It helps to reduce inflammation during an allergy.

How to take

The usual dose for hay fever is one spray into each nostril in the morning and evening. For specific directions, refer to the patient information leaflet.
If your symptoms do not improve after 3 days, you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Side effects of Dymista

Like all medicines, Dymista might cause some side effects, although not everyone gets them.

The most common side effects associated are: nosebleed, bitter taste in your mouth and headache. Side effects are usually mild but if you are concerned, speak to a doctor or pharmacist. It does not normally cause drowsiness but if you do, you should avoid driving or operating machinery. You should also not drink more than moderate amounts of alcohol as it may increase risk of dizziness.

If you experience severe allergic reaction (very rare) such as difficulty breathing, swelling of eyes, nose or face, or an itchy rash, you should stop using Dymista and seek urgent medical advice.

For a full list of side effects, please refer to the patient information leaflet attached below.

When ordering from Medicinesbymailbox, you may be required to fill in a series of Yes/No questionnaires to determine your suitability to the medication. You should NOT use Dymista without consulting a doctor if:
