Canesten product information

Canesten contains clotrimazole which is an anti-fungal medicine used for the treatment of thrush. Canesten Thrush Combi Pack comes with a vaginal pessary which are used by women and external cream can be used by both.

How to take

The pessary can be inserted into the vagina at night, before bed while the external cream can be applied on the skin surrounding the entrance of vagina or on top of the penis for 2-3 times a day. Specific information regarding administration of the internal cream can be found in the patient information leaflet.

You should see an improvement of symptoms within 3 days of treatment. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days, you should see your GP as your infection might have other causes.
