Rhinolast product information

Rhinolast nasal spray contains an active ingredients called azelastine hydrochloride. It belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Our body produces a substance called histamine when allergy occurs and antihistamines help to stop the effect of histamine. This helps to relieve symptoms of allergies such as hay fever.


How to take

The usual dose for hay fever is one spray into each nostril in the morning and evening. For specific directions, refer to the patient information leaflet.
If your symptoms do not improve after 3 days, you should speak to a doctor or pharmacist for advice.


Side effects of Rhinolast

Like all medicines, Rhinolast might cause some side effects, although not everyone gets them.

The most common side effects associated is unpleasant taste in your mouth. Side effects are usually mild and only in rare causes the unpleasant taste may cause you to feel sick. However, if you are concerned, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.

If you experience severe allergic reaction (very rare) such as difficulty breathing, swelling of eyes, nose or face, or an itchy rash, you should stop using Dymista and seek urgent medical advice.
