Fybogel Mebeverine product information

Fybogel Mebeverine tablets contain Mebeverine hydrochloride which is classed as antispasmodics. It helps to relax stomach spasm and relieve cramps of the gut caused by IBS. It also contains isphagula husk, a fibre-rich plant material. Isphagula husk works by increasing the bulk of your gut contents.

Along with taking Fybogel Mebeverine, some simple lifestyle measures can also help to control symptoms of IBS. Please visit the condition medical information page.

How to take

The usual dose for IBS is to take one satchet in the morning and one in the evening. It should be taken 30 minutes before meal to help prevent symptoms appearing after meal. It should be dissolved in adequate amounts of liquid, at least 150ml water to prevent blockage of the gut. For specific administration instruction, please read the patient information leaflet.

It may take 12-24 hours for Fybogel Mebeverine to have an effect.
